Dr. John Muir

Dr. Muir graduated from Ferris State University College of Optometry in 1998 and has been serving the area for over 12 years. He is excited to offer people in the Howell area quality service and products that fit YOUR needs! Dr. Muir is married and has two children, along with two cats. His hobbies include running, cycling and genealogy. Because Dr. Muir lives and works in Howell, he is committed to community service. He frequently volunteers his time to benefit the youth in our area.

Dr. Muir has performed over 100 presentations to local area schools and senior centers.  We also have partnered with the Faith Medical Clinic, VisionOne, and InfantSEE, providing free eye care to those in need for over a decade.  In 2011, he purchased a historic home on Grand River which he restored and turned into their current office.  In 2012 he received the Howell Area Historic Preservation Award.

Kimberley Muir

Kimberley is the office manager and resident optician. She is available to help patients select the proper frame and lenses that best fits their prescription. She can also repair eyeglasses or do adjustments if needed. She enjoys working with children. Kimberley has earned Bachelors of Science degrees in both Biology and Medical Technology from Adrian College and the University of Michigan. She also completed a Molecular Certification course through Michigan State University.

Dr. John and Kimberley have two children, and splits her time between taking care of them and our patients!
